An inspiring and clarifying day took place today at Hotel Arica during the North-Central International Affairs School, an initiative that made it possible to learn firsthand about the work carried out by the State to project Chile toward the world.

Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through SUBREI and ProChile, the event brought together ambassadors and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ProChile, InvestChile, and Imagen de Chile, among other institutions.

The event featured an opening presentation by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs (Acting), Ambassador Frank Tressler, as well as presentations by ambassadors Fernando Velasco, Roberto Ruiz, and Andrea Droppelmann.

Beyond the presentations, the event made it possible to understand that foreign policy goes far beyond diplomacy. It has concrete effects on companies, investments, exports, innovation, education, and opportunities for the regions.

For Arica, this perspective is particularly relevant. Its strategic location and connection to international markets represent opportunities that can be leveraged by companies, entrepreneurs, professionals, and institutions.

The event left a particularly motivating message: Chile not only observes what is happening in the world; it also has the ability to participate, build partnerships, and create international opportunities.

And that challenge also begins in the regions.

Understanding the world is the first step toward discovering the place we can occupy in it.

Arica mira al mundo: una jornada para comprender el futuro internacional de Chile.

Una inspiradora y clarificadora jornada se vivió hoy en el Hotel Arica durante la Escuela de Asuntos Internacionales Zona Centro Norte, instancia que permitió conocer de primera fuente el trabajo que desarrolla el Estado para proyectar a Chile hacia el mundo.

Organizado por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, a través de SUBREI y ProChile, el encuentro reunió a embajadores y representantes de la Cancillería, ProChile, InvestChile e Imagen de Chile, entre otras instituciones.

La jornada contó con la exposición inaugural del Subsecretario de Relaciones Exteriores (S), Embajador Frank Tressler, además de las presentaciones de los embajadores Fernando Velasco, Roberto Ruiz y Andrea Droppelmann.

Más allá de las exposiciones, el encuentro permitió comprender que la política exterior va mucho más allá de la diplomacia. Tiene efectos concretos sobre las empresas, las inversiones, las exportaciones, la innovación, la educación y las oportunidades de las regiones.

Para Arica, esta visión adquiere especial relevancia. Su ubicación estratégica y conexión con los mercados internacionales representan oportunidades que pueden ser aprovechadas por empresas, emprendedores, profesionales e instituciones.

La jornada dejó un mensaje especialmente motivador: Chile no solo observa lo que ocurre en el mundo; también tiene la capacidad de participar, generar alianzas y construir oportunidades internacionales.

Y ese desafío comienza también en las regiones.

Comprender el mundo es el primer paso para descubrir el lugar que podemos ocupar en él.
