Lessons from CAINCO
Year 1 | Issue 3 | October 2025 | Anglo-Saxon®
By Marcos Lagos Suárez – Chile
The CAINCO Business Matchmaking Event, held from September 25 to 27, stands as one of the region’s most emblematic platforms for trade and entrepreneurship. Each year, entrepreneurs from across Latin America converge in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, with a clear purpose: to secure new clients, build strategic partnerships, and strengthen their market presence.
Yet, behind every handshake and business card exchange lies a deeper challenge. You trust your business model as much as your product or service. You believe this is your chance to hit the jackpot. But what truly happens once you’re there?
Those who have done their homework—researching the market, gathering insights, and speaking with fellow entrepreneurs—arrive better prepared. Still, nothing compares to being there: meeting potential partners face-to-face, observing competitors up close, and realizing that standing out is the real battle.
One of the greatest challenges is differentiation. How do you outperform others offering the same product or service? Success depends not just on innovation, but on how effectively you communicate your value, how you connect, and how you adapt in real time.
Entrepreneurship is, at its core, a journey of learning, experimentation, and resilience. And CAINCO offers the perfect arena for that growth — a place where preparation meets opportunity, and where ideas are tested in the global marketplace.
This year, a trade mission representing Arica and Parinacota, Chile, participated under the guidance of ProChile XV Regional Office, with funding from the Regional Government of Arica and Parinacota and the Regional Council (CORE). Their presence reaffirmed a shared belief: supporting entrepreneurs is an investment in Chile’s emerging talent.
Chile’s true strength lies in its people — in the dynamic network of businesses, large and small, that drive innovation and economic growth both domestically and abroad. Today, the public and private sectors are working hand in hand to bring Chile closer to global standards and to project its entrepreneurial talent beyond borders.
Among the Chilean authorities attending were Mr. Orlando Vargas, Mayor of Arica, along with several city council members and regional CORE representatives, underscoring the region’s strong commitment to international collaboration and business development.
